Helical piers, also referred to as helical anchors, piles, or screw piles, are deep foundation solutions designed to secure new foundations or repair existing ones, representing a modern advancement over traditional cement footings. Each pier comprises an engineered steel post featuring screw-like helices. The helical pile serves as extendable base equipment constructed from engineered metallic plates that are affixed to a central steel shaft with either a round or rectangular cross-section. The specifications for the thickness and diameter of the steel plates, their quantity, and the operational characteristics of the helices are determined by factors such as the minimal design life of restricted or supported arrangements, ecological corrosion considerations, geotechnical parameters, and specific design fill requirements.

The screw piles are available in modular sections approximately 2 meters in length. The lead section typically features three galvanized steel helices of increasing size welded to the shaft. If additional depth is necessary, 2-meter follower sections can be provided. Galvanized steel pile caps are also offered.

Due to their innovative design and ease of installation, helical piers—also known as helical anchors—are frequently employed when soil conditions preclude standard foundation solutions.
